Taz1004 Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 Maybe someone can teach me how to use this. I saw on YouTube... I think it was GrimReapers video that you can use the laser to automatically adjust the Gunpod's angle. I thought it was cool but in practice, this doesn't work if there's wind. It always shoots ahead or before the target because the piper doesn't correct for wind. And I have no way to manually override the angle and adjust for wind myself in this mode. I can run perpendicular to the wind direction and compensate laterally but at this point, I don't see the point of the Gunpod in this mode. And then I realized in that GrimReapers video, he didn't hit anything in this mode either. Am I using it wrong? Taz1004 Posted June 16, 2020 Author Posted June 16, 2020 (edited) Is it possible to have the piper not snap lock onto an object. Just have it point at a ground in ground stabilized mode? This would not only solve problem for Gunpod but also for unguided bombs. I sometimes use the Shkval and laser for CCRP delivery of cluster bombs and gets annoying when the cursor keeps snapping to a target when I'm just trying to point at a ground in between the trucks. Edit: Actually, if I set wrong target size, it shouldn't lock. And then compensate the piper for the wind. I'll give it a try.
