LtMacGowan Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 I'm doing the weapon qual mission for the HAARM. I select Haarm on the Left DDI, then TOO mode, I use the I button to select which radar i want to target, then do the sensor left thing and get the diamond in the upper part of the DDI, now heres where the problem is all the tutorials ive seen say to use Cage UnCage the C button and the radar selected icon will change and you can launch. I press C to the cows come home and nothing happens and I can't fire. What am I doing wrong?
QuiGon Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 From what your're describing you seem to do everything correct, so you must be doing something wrong, that you haven't mentioned. Could you upload a track file from your attempt to launch a HARM, so we can see what is actually going on? Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
mistralol Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 1. Master arm on 2. A/G mode on 3. Select HARM 4. Select TOO Mode 5. Select Classes. Pick HOS (For hostile) 6. Move diamond to harm screen if its not already there 7. Select target to fire at 8. Cage. Should say "H-Off" and a single box. 9. Weapon release (not trigger) Added but not required parameters. 1. Have plane flying directly towards target 2. Be high up eg 24,000+ 3. Be as close as safe to do so (better chance of hit and less likely to have missile shot down) 4. Be going at a reasonable pace.
AstonMartinDBS Posted June 22, 2020 Posted June 22, 2020 (edited) 7. Select target to fire at To step through the available targets press the "RAID/FLIR FOV Select button" from the HOTAS section, which is "i" by default. 8. Cage. Should say "H-Off" and a single box. After step 8 you should insert one more step: 8a. Align the cross (center of the DDI which displays the HARM seeker) in the direction of the selected target.
