Yes!

I've also been 'bush flying' in the Caucasus Mountains in the Yak with a similar mind set. Inspired by this:

Would love to see a glider but I don't think DCS models thermals? Maybe a powered glider would get us most of the way there.

I'd like to see a glider some day in DCS as a full fi tech demonstrator for the upcoming atmosphere, weather and humidity engine. And to enjoy the gorgeous scenery with Sunset Shimmer.

And eventually, a rocket powered glider that saw combat service icon_redface.gif

I’ve heard DCS does model thermals and you can glide on them in a light enough plane. I think it would be amazing for a mod, would fly the hell out of it.

The thermals are probably one aspect of what causes the turbulence you see at low altitude and fast speeds over ground

Yep, I'm definitely waiting for something like that!

Also, your video doesn't play...

Sorry, where did you hear that? A mod, probably?

Also, in the video above it's maibly wind deflected by the mountains, not thermals.

Sorry - direct link:

Ah, I see. Yes, this is pleasure to the eyes. But of course, that would be much harder to do if all these wind directions would be implemented :joystick:

As for implementing YouTube videos on this forum pages, you use YOUTUBE /YOUTUBE tags with video code between them (no URL). Like, {YOUTUBE} kpsmqaZpXc8 {/YOUTUBE} (bracket type changed for obvious reasons).
