RacoonE69 Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Hi!, I have a problem. Place as a condition for a lighting bomb to function that a part of a group of vehicles enters a trigger zone, then I place the bomb over the zone that I wish to illuminate. But they don't work. I have tried different heights over the area, 2000 meters, 4000 meters, up to 8000 meters, but nothing happens. Verify that the trigger zone is working, testing with a red flare, and it is activated. How is a lighting bomb operated over an area with a One-time trigger? Regards
RacoonE69 Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 Hi, can you please attach your mission file? sorry, I try to upload the file, but the system tells me invalid file. Do you have any idea what might be going on with the light bombs? Regards

Flappie Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 I've tested your mission and indeed I couldn't see the light, but it was not due to the game. Keep in mind that the altitude of the illumination bomb is relative to the ground (radar altitude). You've set its altitude to 4000m radar. I set the altitude to 1000m radar and it worked right away. The light is dim (hence you don't see it when it's at an altitude 4000m), but it does work. If you want better lighting, I suggest you ask an AI flight to drop some of their illumination bombs. ---

Ian Boys UK Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 1000m altitude is ideal. It's a pity they default to 1m - I'm sure it confuses some people. 1
