Because the original TDC-slew in the warthog is too small, it's unusable. Can I bind one of the POV-button like a mouse view in Target software to the tdc-axis, so that it moves not only left - right and up down but also diagonally.

I managed to map the 4 directions to a mouse in target and I can see the mous moving diagonally, but in game I can't map this mouse movement to the tdc-axises.

Not really a direct answer to your question, but if you're willing to part with some cash and perform a simple install these are supposed to be very good.

Not received mine as yet, but I bought it off the back of this (install is shown)

And just realised it's already well discussed on this very forum and spoken highly of:

W/ some tuning it actually works quite well for the 'radar attack' screen if you go to the options on the main DCS page before you select a plane or mission. Options- click 'FA-18' on the left- and then 'Special' across the top. Then unclick 'Realistic TDC Slew'.

In the normal controls screen I have the TDC set up like this;

I use the TDC on the throttle for the radar screen. I found you don't try to move the tiny nub like a hat switch. You just slide the pad on your finger across it rather than trying to move it. As I have it set, it works quite well to designate missile targets on the radar screen. I use a hat switch on my stick for other slew like for a Maverick F.

The Warthog TDC thrust lever mini joystick works well for me for anything that requires cursor slew. Assign the axes with curves (remember they are axes!) to make small adjustments easier. It can be difficult to depress to designate without moving the cursor, so I have "designate" mapped to the flat thumb hat on the joystick giving Zoom in, Zoom out, FOV and designate all on the same control.

yes, it's not so bad, which curves do you use? my last is this one, it's controlable but little bit slow for long movement with 50 of saturation.

I  have just added a big deadzone without any curve. It actually works very well. Increase the deadzone until depressing won't result in any cursor movement.

I got one, and it's a pretty solid investment. Had it for a couple of years now i think, and have had zero issues with it.
