How to turn off ThrustMaster slew mini stick?

Need to turn off ThrustMaster throttle's mini stick TDC slew which is too quirky. I have bound TDC left, right, forward and aft controls to a 4 way switch on the joystick which would be better but can't get it to work only the mini stick. Please advise.

Yes, I have cleared the TDC slew control from the options axis x and y. I have an active diamond in the upper right corner in the DDI with the maverick crosshairs showing. A 4 way switch has my TDC with left, right, forward and aft buttons selected. I have AGM-65F mavericks onboard and selected. Still no movement.

To skew the Maverick, you need to hold down and slew the TDC. So you have to press TDC Depress, keep it held and slew then. That's the realistic behavior. That also applies to some other weapons.

 

You can disable the need to hold TDC Depress in Special Options.

 

Also, the Maverick won't slew if you it's slaved to an A/G designation.

I've added curves to the mini stick's x- and y-axis of 32 each and it works great for me.

The mini stick works well - the secret is to use custom curves on both axes so you can make micro adjustments. I use:

 

1/3/5/8/13/20/28/38/58/74/100 on both axes.

 

100% Saturation (gives you max movement at full deflection)

5 dead zone (allows you to use depress without moving the cursor)

 

If you really want to disable it, simply unassign the axes in the controls section,

I have separated slew functions to different controls. The little tiny nub on the TM warthog throttle works fine for me on the radar attack screen w/ the 'hold tdc depressed to slew' unchecked as Harker mentions. I have also found that it works better if you just slide the pad of your finger across it rather than try to actually move it. For the MavF I slew that w/ a 4 way + depress switch on my VKB stick. It happens that the 4 way is right next to the 'release ordinance' button so works very well. The advantage of separating slew functions is you can tune each switch to work well w/ that particular weapon.
