ED Team BIGNEWY Posted August 8, 2020 ED Team Posted August 8, 2020 (edited) Hello everyone, DCS: Syria is currently in development and in late-stage testing. We expect to release it sometime in summer 2020. When we have the exact date, we look forward to sharing it with you. In this video of the Syria map for DCS World, we’re going to jump to the north side of the map and explore Incirlik airbase and the city of Adana, Turkey in a UH-1 Huey. We’ll take a close look at the detail that Ugra Media has put into this airbase, and the many interesting landmarks around Adana. This is the primary American airbase in the map, and it’s likely to play a big role in many missions and campaigns. We sincerely hope you enjoy it. ZHeN Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 I like how Adana International is occupied by russian military cargo aircraft ^_^ [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
reece146 Posted August 8, 2020 Posted August 8, 2020 Looks fantastic! I blanked on parts of Turkey being included in the map - now I'm really excited for the release - glad I did the early access thing. How well modeled is the south coast of Turkey? Was really glad to hear Wags say that Cyprus will be coming (at some point). It would be great if all the major centres could be modeled (Nicosia, Kyrenia, Larnaca, etc.) but that is a map in itself I'd think. Hey, I'd pay for it. Would like to see the abandoned Shackleton at the bombed out Nicosia International Airport. :)
Stratos Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 I really like those preview videos, please keep em coming. I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
epoch Posted August 10, 2020 Posted August 10, 2020 Looking forward to this map. The level of detail is astonishing, and the cities look great. Fantastic work by Ugra Media. Great news re. Cyrpus too. One minor issue spotted: a building embedded into the road at 07:26. Probably not a cause for concern unless moving ground units through that area.
