9thHunt Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 (edited) I brought out the Hornet last night after not flying it for a week or so, and I noticed something weird. The RALT and BALT modes on the autopilot won't engage. I clicked the Option Select Buttons for either of them, and the button animates, but the autopilot doesn't engage. ATTH seems to work fine, as well as HSEL function. At first I thought it was the Keypad I'm using for a UFC, but the button still animates when I tap the appropriate key. here's a trackfile showing it not working: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lpczmxrzgg9ct13/BALT%20not%20working.trk?dl=0 Edited August 17, 2020 by 9thHunt added link to track file

squid509 Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 after look at your track file i saw that your control input is not centered for Balt or Ralt to engage the stick need to be centered you physical stick on you desk may be centered but the data received by DCS is not depending no your stick you can try to recalibrate it adjust spring or something to make it center better or add a small dead zone to your curves

Maybe the ol' CH fighterstick knows it's going to be replaced, My new X56 is supposed to come in the mail today.;)

Hopefully this one works. Ironically, UPS delivered the new X56 just as I finished re-calibrating the Combat Stick, but at least that seems to have fixed the problem. Fingers crossed that the new stick works!:joystick:
Throckmorton Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 (edited) Same is happening for me. And I'm using the TM Warthog HOTAS. Update: It seems to be working normally for me again. Weird that it wouldn't earlier. Anyway, all is well. Edited August 20, 2020 by Throckmorton
Meyomyx Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 Even the Warthog can bust the dead zone. I use 2 but even then, on rare occasions it needs a tiny waggle to get it in the zone.
