Hey guys, does anybody know how to configure Joystick Gremlin so when I hold a button on my gamepad, the value of a virtual axis on my vJoy virtual controller increases over time, while I'm holding the button?

Is your gamepad seen as a "Hid Controller"? I mean is it seen by Joystick Gremlin? If yes I'll take a few screenshot to explain how to do what you want. If not (probably cause your gamepad is Xbox or something like that), then you'll have to use another software like UCR, because JG can't see xbox controller.

Cool, Heeh, I just remembered I made a video showing how to do that a while ago..

I don't do it in the video but you'll probably want to change the 'Macro Settings' from 'None' to 'Hold' and adjust the delay.

This way the macro will repeat each %Delay% milliseconds as long as you hold the button.

I understand that VJoy is required to allow Joystick Gremlin to interface with Windows O/S, for my newly acquired Virpil 50MC3 Throttle to allow customization of up to 128 button options, but is it required to function in the DCS Options screen when setting up control functions?

I experimented with an "Eye" tracker" a couple of years ago, which also required VJoy, and it duplicated all of the axis functions and caused lots of issues, so in the end I took it out of the options, and everything seemed to be fine. But unfortunately I know very little about using it with this throttle, other than the YouTube Tutorials, which are making my head hurt, and thus far, this has not been mentioned. Any advice greatly appreciated.

As an after thought, a word of advise to any one planning to get this throttle system, It is a superbly produced article, but this is not something that you take out of the box, plug in, and have a great experience. I've had mine for 10 days, and am really just starting to understand the process of building up the configuration, including macros etc. but I am finding it tough going, I would suggest, that if you have throttle, stick and rudder pedals in a semi permanent set up, keep the CM3 on the desk top, work on it, then when the information becomes difficult to absorb, put it down and go flying until configuration is complete - I do wish I had followed my own advice!

You need to use HidHide with Gremlin to hide all the duplicates, so that DCS can see only Gremlin's output.

I made the same settings as yours, but the axis only works one way. Do you know what the problem might be?
