I am suffering with the following message:

Authorization failure:

The following DLCs are not authorized and will be

disabled:

JF-17

Anyone else suffering similar issues or does anyone have a solution?

Hi Specter. Do you own the JF-17 module or not? Have you by any chance tried it for free in April?

If you don't own it, go to the DCS module manager and try disabling it, then removing it (bin icon on the right).

Trying to not be too abrupt, YES I own it and have done since 20 March 2020

Thank you for not being abrupt, I'm just trying to help you. :) I've asked you the question because people can have this message about a module they don't own. These threads might interest you:

In this thread, some antivirus were messing with the modules .dll files, mistaking them with a virus. You can have a look at your antivirus log to see if that's happened to you. In any way, yYou sould give the cleanup and repair procedure a try.

User Demon Den had this message displayed while he didn't own any of the mentioned aircraft. He had to delete all folders inside \DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\aircraft then run a repair to fix his issue.

JohnTheSavage had similar messages in the log file but he just couldn't play. He deleted the whole \DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\, then ran a repair to fix the game.

desnoj experienced the same kind of issue as JohnTheSavage. He chose to revert to the previous version of the game, then redo the update, and... it worked.

Can you please attach your dcs.log file?

Flappie, thank you for trying to help.

All my DCS file locations are excluded from my AV since the last false AV fiasco a few months ago.

It's late here now so I'm not going to start messing around with the installation right now but here is my log file.

dcs.log

Thank you. Here's what the log says:

2020-08-26 19:36:40.040 WARNING DCS: Not Authorized, no registry path: ./Mods/aircraft/JF-17
Now please open your C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\JF-17\entry.lua file and look for the line starting with "registryPath". Can you copy-paste this line here, please? (I don't own the JF-17 module)

This is the registry path DCS is complaining about, because it can't find it in Windows registry. If you know how to look in the registry (command is "regedit"), look for it under \HKCU\Software\.

I've just removed it via the module manager and reinstalled it when offered. All ok now but it was definitely messed up during the last update.

Thanks for trying to help.
