DmitriKozlowsky Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Right now leaving LOX dilution at N (normal) has no physiological effect. I think that p[rogression is loss of color vision, blurriness, loss of consciousness .
jojo Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Actually no. The normal flight position is "NORMAL" and you will be fine up the aircraft operational ceiling around FL500. Mirage fanatic ! El Chapo Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Normal oxygen switch is for the on board O2 tank. Emergency oxygen is for the seat emergency tank. Cockpit pressure is the parameter that counts. PCAB alarm will light up if pressurisation issue is detected, thus exposing the pilot to hypoxia
Frederf Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Oxygenation of cabin atmosphere is not a concern for pilot health, right? He is wearing a mask.

El Chapo Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 O2 % in the oxygen mask is automatically regulated. Without mask or cabin pressure you should not fly above FL115. With an O2 mask and without cabin pressure you can fly up to FL235. With a mask and cabin pressure you can fly up to FL500. Above that you normally need pressurised flight suit.
RAZBAM_ELMO Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 System is working as intended. Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass. — Dave 'Preacher' Pace, USN.
