I am seeing some posts that my missions require a newer editor. I am wondering if a mission created in stable but edited in open beta is different from a mission created in open beta. Can stable users run our open beta missions?

So far I have been able to run missions from stable to OB. I think I have done the opposite as well. As long as it's not the Syrian map :smilewink:

At the moment, the editor in Openbeta has a slightly different file format than the Editor in Stable. The openbeta is version 18, while the ME in stable is version 17.

I don’t know the results if you mix-and-match, but I would refrain from editing v18 created missions, on the prior version editor.

The big thing was that they added countries to the game. While its kind of ok if some unit or weapon is missing from the database, but a missing country is a bit more catastrophic.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Thanks, Grimes! I saw some neutral units one time. I believe the workflow was to create a new mission with fresh Modern factions, and then I loaded a template I had created from an "old" set of Modern factions. Easy fix to update the template.
