Geier Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Some Ukrainians Mig29 shots - I've posted them last year Winter '07 And Belbek's Mig29 2
Force_Feedback Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Duzhe Garno!!! Here's a vid of their Su-25s flying around, very nice to see them perform together with Su-27s. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=idnLqPr8zVc Let's hope they'll join NATO soon, that will improve the conditions in the service and will lead to more flight ops (think excercises, other countries' warplanes stopping by). 1 Creedence Clearwater Revival:worthy:
Kusch Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 Awesome, thanks :) Give me "flying telephone pole" (SA-2)!
TorwaK Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Superb photos Geier. Btw what's wrong with first pilot seat at 4th photo? I see there something white? Geier Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Superb photos Geier. Btw what's wrong with first pilot seat at 4th photo? I see there something white? I suppose it's a training shutter which make the flight cadet fly by his skills. Like in this Su25
TorwaK Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Thanks Geier, I thought the same actually however I wasn't sure. I think it's about improve night flight capability of pilot. VMFA117_Poko Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I think Geier is right. It makes a possibilty to train young pilots flying by using gauges only - IFR. Here in Poland we aslo use curtins in our training TS-11 Iskras.
TorwaK Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I thought it's an airbag! LOL! LOL! You made my day Vekkinho :D 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel Core i7-6700K, @5GHz | Asus Maximus Hero VIII | 2 x eVGA GTX 970 SLI | Kingston Predator 16GB DDR4-3000Mhz | 2 x Samsung 850 PRO 240GB RAID-0 | AOC G2460PG G-SYNC LCD | OCULUS RIFT CV1 VR | THRUSTMASTER HOTAS WARTHOG | CH PRO PEDALS

Boberro Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Belbek's fotos '06 Belbek's foto '01 So Mig29 can take so big fuelpods oO? Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
Vekkinho Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Boberro, those fuel tanks (PTB-1150) are available for Fulcrum in LOFC too! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
TorwaK Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 however most of people don't use because of not enough pylons to carry missile. CrazyAggie05 Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I suppose it's a training shutter which make the flight cadet fly by his skills. Yup, we use them too. We call them "the bag" and they freakin suck. It's not specifically for night training, but I guess that falls under the scope of instrument flying. It takes away all visual references which makes up most of your bodies ability to judge motion and which way is up. When you fly under that thing, you get all sorts of illusions that make you feel like you are turning or pitching up, but you are really not. That way when the weather sucks and you are really in the goo, you will know to trust your instruments and not your body! Oh, and flying purely on the instruments is a pain in the ass and a tough skill to master so you wanna be good at it when the weather sucks. I love my job :pilotfly:
