timo144 Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 After firing two D versions, trying the H version the maverick seeker location and the tpod location aren't aligning in PRE mode.Maverick tpod don't align.trk
timo144 Posted September 26, 2020 Author Posted September 26, 2020 Addition: In this case the tpod is staring at a tank, the maverick is looking into the lake.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 28, 2020 ED Team Posted September 28, 2020 Hi thanks for the report, I can see you are struggling in the track replay, you do look like you are at gimbal limits in the turn. When I take control and try myself it seems fine. Only issue I am seeing is with the mav lock jumping between close targets and that is reported already. thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? timo144 Posted September 30, 2020 Author Posted September 30, 2020 Not sure how gimbal limits in the turn would make it stick to the lake as in the track replay when heading straight to the target?
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted September 30, 2020 ED Team Posted September 30, 2020 It is strange for sure, but when I take control I am not able to reproduce so far. I will ask the dev to take a look. thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Panda Man Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Hello, I noticed the issue occurs when the Maverick Seeker goes beyond it's gimbal limits. The Maverick seems develop a mind of it's own when this happens. However, I am able to resolve the issue by switching to the Maverick and resetting it to boresight (TMS down) then handing off again. Unsure if that's intended behavior or not. Hope this helps!
Shibiswag Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 I am having the same issue, espeically with the AGM-65H is very bad. I set the Mav to Area track, lock the target with the TGP, hands off fine the first and ONLY time. I undesignate the target, put my next mav in area mode, find a new target with TGP, Designate the target, TGP fails to hand off, Mav stays locked onto first target. each shot is attempted at a range between 15-10 miles, well within the H models gimble limit. TGP just fails to hand off the target after the first shot.
fudabidu Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 (edited) each shot is attempted at a range between 15-10 milesIn my experience the MAVs can't track beyond 8 miles (read from WPN page). TMS UP will switch between 'wide cross' and no cross, but the MAV won't track and launch will be inhibited. I set the Mav to Area trackYou don't, because this doesn't exist! You either put the TGP into area track or you ground stabilize the MAV. Which one is it? This forum is confusing enough already. I've had a stuck MAV exactly once and TMS down on the WPN page fixed it, so I'm assuming ground stabilize is part of the issue. TGP handoff is commanding the MAV to slave, but the MAV wants to stay ground stabilized. Reach gimbal limits and the MAV will just look anywhere. Edited October 10, 2020 by fudabidu
Scubamurph Posted October 12, 2020 Posted October 12, 2020 You don't, because this doesn't exist! You either put the TGP into area track or you ground stabilize the MAV. Which one is it? This forum is confusing enough already. Select MAV page as SOI and TMS right - will change mav from WB to BW to Area. It exists. For force correlation of MAV it needs to be in Area mode.
Mr. Wilson Posted October 15, 2020 Posted October 15, 2020 AGM-65 not slave TGP I see no reason to describe this again... This problem has been discussed here many times... At the very beginning of my replay, in the first attack, I encountered this problem, the missile refused to take the target from the TGP. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m0Js3Ux_uGghLCe_03mbAJ1smDc_9yoe/view?usp=sharing
