Didn't IAI and ELBIT "Westernized' Azeri Mig-29S?

I have on unconfirmed hearsay authority (aka Internet) that IAI and ELBIT modernized Azeri AF Mig-29 A & C single seat models to be able to mount NATO and Russian A-G weapons, back in early to mid 2000's. Both trainers and service airframes were also given GPS/INS nav systems, as part of drone package, sold to Azeries. Intent was to make mission planning standardized between unmanned and manned systems.

 

I am not taking sides in Azerbaijan Armenia dispute. I take the Shakespearean side in these pointless land disputes, where one side demonizes the other, and wastes lives of their people. Honestly them talking about conducting air strikes is the first I've heard of them even having an air force lol I thought they were like Georgia, with two helicopters and a large kite :p (kidding of course)
