Orsi Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 First stage is PAC1, just to stabilize the aircraft. When hit second stage activates pac 2
Sr. Posted October 4, 2020 Author Posted October 4, 2020 First stage is PAC1, just to stabilize the aircraft. When hit second stage activates pac 2 I have a Logi X-56 stick, which as far as I know doesn't have a 2 stage trigger... I have always used a separate button for 1st stage. However; I recently decided I wanted to use that particular button for something else and unmapped that function, yet I still get the stabilization benefit when firing the cannon as long as the Gunpac switch (in cockpit) is flipped to on. When flipped to off, the aircraft recoils from the cannon as expexted. BuzzU Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 You'll get PAC when you start shooting. With a dual stage trigger you can get PAC before you start shooting. The real plane uses a dual stage trigger and the TM Warthog is a replica of the real stick. Buzz
QuiGon Posted October 4, 2020 Posted October 4, 2020 (edited) Stage 1 = PAC only Stage 2 = PAC + gun fire It's much smooter if you engage the PAC first (stage 1) and only fire the gun (stage 2) when the PAC autopilot has completely stabilised your flight. If you fire the gun right away, there will be a short instant jerk, as the PAC needs a moment to get you stable.
