tms fwd long creates spi on point on ground, however it is always to the left

is this a bug?

Is your HMCS centered right on where you want the SPI?

 

If your intended location is off to the edge, the system will "approximate" the location.

Mine seems to work quite accurately, VR user here.

China head aft (target cross changes look) and then try again tms fwd long. This does the trick for me, SPI is centered.

remeber that you don't create spi where you are looking, but where the hmcs cursor is. i got confused by that on my first flight.

first slew the cursor somewhere and then make it SPI. SPI should then be on the position of the cursor, not LOS.

ahh ok that might be it, with MC SOI creating a markpt is accurate, just using tms fwd long it is always off centre
