Roger01 Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 Hello! I have an Oculus Quest 2 who run with Virtual Desktop (wifi). I have 100% of the time stuttering et low fps (22-45fps). I don't have any problem without VR mode and with an "old" Oculus Rift S. I set setting option in game on low for testing, but no change In VD I set low and high bitrate (low latency with low bitrate) but no change too. I launch the game like that : - Launch Virtual Desktop on Oculus. - On VD, I launch a .bat with this line of command : "C:\Logiciel\Virtual Desktop Streamer\VirtualDesktop.Streamer.exe" "E:\Jeux\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS.exe" - DCS run in Oculus in VR. But I already have stuttering in the menu! My CPU et GPU works below 50%. I see on youtube some user with VD on wifi without any problem. I don't have any problem with orthers games. Do you know why? Thanks a lot! i5 7600k O/C 1070ti 32GB DDR4 Router Wifi 5 800Mbits
Roger01 Posted October 18, 2020 Author Posted October 18, 2020 HMMMmmm... Don't have any more stuttering now... but I don't know why... problem with my router? Dnk... :/ But I have low fps like this thread : https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=289293
dburne Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 For a flight sim like DCS you would likely fare much better using Link with a good USB3 cable, like the official Oculus Link cable. wormeaten Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 You should connect to your WiFi router true your 5G connection not 2.4. Check this true your router and be sure you rename your 5G network and reconect Quest to it. I was having similar problems with connecting Oculus Go true WiFi when it is not connected true 5GHz.
Roger01 Posted October 19, 2020 Author Posted October 19, 2020 Hello, i'm using Tenda AC8 with 5Ghz Wifi. But I fix this by switching Wifi mode on 80Mhz only (and not auto 20/40/80). I set AC mode only too. So, now I just have low fps like some people here (and my friends too).

Roger01 Posted October 26, 2020 Author Posted October 26, 2020 Hello, Thx for the tips, I read other guides but I get 40fps max in cockpit in air (30 near the ground). I think my 1070ti is the card to change. (i5 7600k O/C, 32GB DDR4, SSD M2)
Ill-k Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 I to have bad performance with Dcs and VD. I am only getting 33fps in cockpit. If I look up at the sky I get 66fps. With usb 2 I got slight better performance but the image is not as good as with VD. i have activated 90hz via sidequest but it doesn't help. Other games runs fine on VD. I have a ryzen 3700x 1080ti 32gb ram and all installed on an SSD.
panph90 Posted October 27, 2020 Posted October 27, 2020 I have stuttering too, with Quest2 and link cable, so it’s not Wi-Fi issue. It doesn’t mind what graphics i use, in low or high I have no difference... my hardware are great, i9 9940x and 2080ti, so that’s not the problem too. It must be the transfer protocol between quest and pc. With my old rift s I had no problem at all. ___________________________________ DCS 2.5.6 Open Beta - F-18C, F-14B, F-16C, Av-8b, A-10C, Uh-1h, SA-342, Mi-8MTV2, KA-50 Modules Persian Gulf Map, Nevada Training Map ALIENWARE AREA-51 INTEL Intel I9-9940X - Nvidia 2080Ti 11Gb - 32GB RAM - 4TB SSD Oculus Rift S - FULL VIRPIL SETUP: T50CM2 throttle, T50cm2 Base and Grip, ACE2 Rudder
