myHelljumper
Hello, When editing the altitude of a waypoint and selecting if the it's positive or negative, only the "+" and "-" keys of the same side as the edited window are working. For example if you edit the altitude in feet so left window, only the "1" and "7" keys are working to select if the altitude is positive or negative, the "3" and "9" keys aren't doing anything. Also, when entering the Delta ALT of a BAD, only the meter input (right window) is working correctly, if you enter an altitude in feet (left window) it does not takes the input correctly. Also, the positive or negative altitude bug is present in the delta ALT edition too. Here is a track where I illustrate all of the above : PCN_ALT_bugs.trk Helljumper - M2000C Guru Helljumper's Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK3rTjezLUxPbWHvJJ3W2fA
Frederf
I think that's supposed to be the case. If you're entering left window data then you use 1/7 to select left window, then 1/7 for +/- to sign the data to enter. Yes the 3/9 keys aren't available for sign determination for left window entry (and 1/7 for right window) but that seems plausible if not correct. If the system is supposed to be agnostic to using 1 or 3 for + entry for either window side, then yeah, not doing that. The WPT/ALT seems fine, taking up to 25,000' left window or 7620m right window. The two windows are doing their correct display in both cases. BAD/ALT takes up to 24999' in the left window (why is it 1' less than WPT/ALT?). But the issue is it's dividing by the feet-meters conversion so left window on 249999 entry displays as 7620'* left window and 2322**m right window. If you enter 2322m in right window you get 2322m right window and 7618' left window. So it's wrong for feet entry and right for meters entry. *7620 being the correct number of meters converted from 24,999 feet. **2322 being the correct number of meters converted from 7620 feet. RAZBAM_ELMO
I think you both may be correct on different points, I'll report it and let the SME take a gander. Just to add that it seems to be a displayed issue only. Fire computer seems to take into account the feet value initially entered, even if value displayed is then not correct as described above. Yes, current behavior might be correct, but I would find it logical for all the "+" keys to work. We will see :). I understood what the left window in Delta ALT was doing, but could not bother to explain it as well as you did, thanks for that :). Just to add that it seems to be a displayed issue only.
