SuperKungFu Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 The official site for Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X, Ubisoft's newest flight simulation gameAlthough I never seen the actual game play, but I have doubts that it will be a realistic simulator. But its cool to watch the video. http://hawxgame.us.ubi.com/home.php [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Kuky Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Yeah, good looking video but surely this is not even close to realistic flight sim ;) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
GGTharos Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Oh come on. You don't think the USAF would be using french planes to blow up M-1's inside New York city? ;) 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Pilotasso Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Some fictional SIM's were actualy fantastic in the day. Like Strike commander. It would be cool to stage a fictional scenario like a civil war in the US where many other airforces in the world would be called to take sides. After all, the only air force in the world large enough and worth to bring down is the US airforce! :D But yes, so far all multi platform SIM's have sucked. .
ED Team Groove Posted April 26, 2008 ED Team Posted April 26, 2008 I have still a PC for Strike Commander, custom build some years ago. But its just rotting in a corner :/ Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
Pilotasso Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 you can run it in windows using DOSBOX emulator. It takes a bit to understand how it works but its easy enough. It will work with my X52, infact it is much more playable now than it ever was. you can set any CPu emulation and any sound card type you wish. its realy versatile. I play Wing commander2 and 3 on it, and setup virtual CD drives on my hard drive, wich is super cool since it loads in a snap and you dont have to constantly swich all 4 CD's all the time. .
SuperKungFu Posted April 26, 2008 Author Posted April 26, 2008 Another fun but semi-unrealistic game was Jane's USAF. Now that was really fun, I never forgot the Air Force One mission where you're an F-15 and you're trying to protect the President. lol Brings back old memories. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ED Team Groove Posted April 26, 2008 ED Team Posted April 26, 2008 Cool, will give it a try. Thanks Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
Boberro Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Ubisoft and realism? Buahahahahahaha don't laugh me. They usually tyrranize smaller companies to do games faster and faster and we have after crap. ;) Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D ಠ_ಠ ツ
VMFA117_Poko Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Ubi has bought the rights to use Tom Clancy name. After all we can get Tom Clancy's Golf game some day...
