Don't put both in a group.

You have to put two individual aircraft into the mission and mark them both as "client".

Yes, that is how you have to do it.

Would be great to have a feature in the new DCS Mission Editor that saves me from doing the same flight/waypoint creation steps over and over again for every client plane individually when building large multiplayer missions.

My proposed solutions:

- Either build a copy/paste function for units and their actions,

- Or allow to create multi-plane client flights.

This would really be a major improvement/timesaver!

Would also be nice if a how-to video were included with release for everyone that wants to jump in to building their own missions.

IronHand made a video that gives a pretty good introduction to the lockon GUI and Mission Editor. It is called getting Started Part I. In Part II, he flies the mission so you can see how it plays.

I assume you already know this but... While copy/paste would be better, you do have the ability to copy the waypoints of individual aircraft in LOMAC & FC. That's what the "Merge" command is for. Unfortunately, merging only copies the waypoints themselves and not the additional waypoint attributes (takeoff, land, attack, etc).

In case you didn't know about this... Set up your mission. When it's time to add the client aircraft, add the first soon-to-be-client but designate it as "Player" rather than "Client". Save the mission with a new name (Clients.mis, for example). Open the original mission. Select File\Merge. Select "Clients.mis". The Player aircraft is copied into the multiplayer mission. Change the aircraft designation from "Player" to "Client". Reset the waypoint attributes (takeoff, land, etc.). Repeat until all the clients with those aircraft have been drawn into the mission. Save the mission. Open "Clients.mis" again. Delete the Player aircraft that's there and add the next set of waypoints you want and proceed as above. Repeat as necessary.
