TLTeo Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 I'm pretty sure that Link 4 is limited to aircraft in the same flight, so that's built into DCS basically. 1
Skysurfer Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 Yup, needs to be set in the ME, then you agree on a freq. and set the correct addresses.
The_Tau Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 Its interesting, it worked before on BF Persian Gulf... Tau's Youtube channel Twitch channel https://www.twitch.tv/the0tau

Skysurfer Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 I bet its not setup in the ME. It is though. The aircraft need to be in the same group, just the way DCS works. 1
Harlikwin Posted November 19, 2020 Author Posted November 19, 2020 So... Is it working right on BF or not? It seems 14A's can work together. But not Bs New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, HP Reverb (formermly CV1) Old-N-busted: i7 4720HQ ~3.5GHZ, +32GB DDR3 + Nvidia GTX980m (4GB VRAM) :joystick: TM Warthog. TrackIR, Rift CV1 (yes really).
QuiGon Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 So... Is it working right on BF or not? It seems 14A's can work together. But not Bs I guess As are grouped together there, while Bs aren't. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
Southernbear Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 Wait...the Link-4 does talk to other fighter aircraft? I was reading up on the ADCOM F-14 (unofficially the F-14C for the USAF) and it was my understanding that at the time it wasn't a requirerment for Datalink to talk to other fighters in the area for the Navy and rather just talk to the AWACS. Part of the ADCOM proposal was to allow for the Link-4 to talk to other friendly fighters in the area as it was a USAF standard.

Or to the awacs which talks to all the f14's or something like that. New hotness: I7 9700k 4.8ghz, 32gb ddr4, 2080ti, :joystick: TM Warthog.
