mickthesaw Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Hi Flappie, I throttle my card to a maximum of 1820 frequency, ran DCS in VR for over an hour last night and not had one crash. These high clocks that are being used by stock, maybe causing a lot of others to see the DX back end error.?
Flappie Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Good! If this works flawlessly @1800, it's already a victory. But I have no issue with my card when it reaches 1898 (and it does this every time with DCS, apparently). Maybe you should check temperature/dust/GPU seating/voodoo tricks? ---
Solution thinkerdreamer Posted February 13, 2021 Author Solution Posted February 13, 2021 @Flappie Hey, late update but I just finished the final check and it seems to be working perfectly now. My PC had a 400W peak and 300W continuous PSU. I swapped it with a 750W PSU and that seems to have fixed it. I never thought that could be the problem, but I didn't realize it was such a shitty PSU in there. Thanks for your help. 1 i7-8700, RTX 2070, 32gb RAM, DCS on SSD, Windows 10
imacken Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 I have the same DX11BACKEND issue reported here Latest update crashing, usually in Controls Menu - Game Crash - ED Forums (eagle.ru) and I don't O/C the GPU or CPU. I don't have SSLR enabled, nor is there anything wrong with my PSU - a new RM850x. Only a problem in DCS.
