Waypoints in A/G mode do not drift in relation to NAV mode. They will always be in the exact coordinates as if there were no drift.

This is mostly noticeable when you use FAST Align and do not enable HNS, but this happens regardless of Alignment mode used during startup.

If you wish to see this for yourself you can:

Place a JF-17 with bombs or any INS/GPS weapon

Perform a cold start and align using FAST or GC (GC will take much longer to drift, but the bug will still be present with that alignment)

Do not enable HNS so that the INS can drift

Select a waypoint and a bomb in AUTO mode/ IAM in TOO mode

Switch between A/G and NAV mode, watch as the Waypoint shifts between its true (A/G) and INS (NAV) position.

Is the process for GC alignment different from fast alignment? Also does PU work for re-aligning in-flight? I remember someone on the forum mentioning it but it was awhile ago and the early access guide has no information on GC and PU.

use GC alignment, and also turn on HNS

This problem was not actually fixed, the HUD SPI marker still points to the True Coordinates and not the INS/Drifted Coordinates in AG Master Mode. Likewise the WMD-7 and other sensors will still point to the True Coordinates if slaved to a waypoint and will not drift over time.

Unguided bombs in AUTO mode will still drop on the True Coords and the waypoint/SPI will also not drift.

INS weapons are affected by drift from the recent changes, however their HUD SPI marker will not visually drift when using them in TOO Mode.
