vctpil Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 Hi, I have just created a very simple mission for purpose (see attachements). The AV-8B with a single waypoint, 13nm from targets and a JTAC. I also have an initial point ADDER. At first contact with the JTAC, the pilot report 28nm south of IP FORD. This point does not exist as you can see in the mission. The JTAC report the correct ADDER point and distance/bearing to the target. A bug ? Thanks, VincentTest AG2.miz IAMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12x 3.7 to 4.8Ghz - 32Go DDR4 3600Mhz - GeForce RTX 3080 - Samsung Odyssey G7 QLED - AIMXY
vctpil Posted November 23, 2020 Author Posted November 23, 2020 Just tried the mission several time. The offset function cannot be used with the informations given by the JTAC. The offset waypoint is far from targets (+/-40nm) because referenced to FORD, that does not exist. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Flappie Posted November 23, 2020 Posted November 23, 2020 I get the same result. In the mission editor, we only have one IP called "ADDER". The "mission" file contanied in the .miz has 4 IPs, but none of them is called "FORD": ["nav_points"] = { [1] = { ["y"] = -71781.548050154, ["x"] = -333686.35907342, ["comment"] = "", ["callsignStr"] = "T64.13", ["id"] = 46, ["properties"] = { ["vnav"] = 1, ["scale"] = 0, ["vangle"] = 0, ["angle"] = 0, ["steer"] = 2, }, -- end of ["properties"] }, -- end of [1] [2] = { ["y"] = -71012.022958233, ["x"] = -334157.30813618, ["comment"] = "", ["callsignStr"] = "T64.14", ["id"] = 47, ["properties"] = { ["vnav"] = 1, ["scale"] = 0, ["vangle"] = 0, ["angle"] = 0, ["steer"] = 2, }, -- end of ["properties"] }, -- end of [2] [3] = { ["y"] = -70958.115908884, ["x"] = -335397.67147638, ["comment"] = "", ["callsignStr"] = "T64.17", ["id"] = 48, ["properties"] = { ["vnav"] = 1, ["scale"] = 0, ["vangle"] = 0, ["angle"] = 0, ["steer"] = 2, }, -- end of ["properties"] }, -- end of [3] [4] = { ["y"] = -75326.339807134, ["x"] = -356854.69227667, ["comment"] = "", ["callsignStr"] = "ADDER", ["id"] = 94, ["properties"] = { ["vnav"] = 1, ["scale"] = 0, ["vangle"] = 0, ["angle"] = 0, ["steer"] = 2, }, -- end of ["properties"] ["callsign"] = 8, }, -- end of [4] }, -- end of ["nav_points"] ---
vctpil Posted November 24, 2020 Author Posted November 24, 2020 To be sure about the problem, I call the JTAC once after take-off, restart the mission and hold over ADDER before calling the JTAC. The result is the same, the JTAC always give me the point FORD and a bearing/distance at 40nm from targets position. Flappie Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 I've just tested the same thing with the A-10C: same behavior. ---
