GIMP exports blue .dds files?

I'm having trouble exporting DDS with GIMP. I make "layer from visible," then export that as BC5 with mipmaps. When I look at the finished .dds file, it has the blue alpha(?) channel applied over it, and then when I load the livery in the ModelViewer2, it appears the green alpha channel is applied over the actual jet. I tried disabling the red/green/blue channels but that just gives me a black screen. How do I export these properly?

Make sure all the channels are on...then what i do is "flatten image" with Exporting to dds in BC3/DXT5 w/mipmaps (Never save after you flatten image!)

That did the trick! "Make layer from visible" should do the same thing as "flatten image" but I guess something's funky with it when .dds exports are involved.

I use to save using BC3/DXT5 + mipmaps... and I use to mark "box" too... is that correct?

I never noticed a difference with the Filter of Default , Box , or the last option.
Could it be more of a difference when ATI vs. Nvidia graphics cards are being used? I currently use an Nvidia card...
