Phantom_Mark Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 (edited) Any documentation or explanation of the new trigger types ? I don't recall reading any such updates in the recent patch notes, so guessing this is another of those changes which happened under the radar ? So before we had:? Mission Start Once Switched Continuous Now we have some different options I forget now, but switched has disappeared for example ? Edited December 5, 2020 by Phantom_Mark
Rudel_chw Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 On Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World/Doc/ there is a PDF Manual "DCS User Manual EN 2020" with fairly complete documentation. Regarding the Trigger Types that you mention, we still have the same four, but one has been renamed (probably for clarity): Continuous is now Repetitive Action. Switched condition still exists. For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Bunny Clark Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 The DCS World manual was updated fairly recently, and actually includes some really good documentation for the mission editor now. Oil In The Water Hornet Campaign. Bunny's: Form-Fillable Controller Layout PDFs | HOTAS Kneeboards | Checklist Kneeboards

I was in the editor last night and didn't see the "switched" one which is why I asked actually...... I haven't been searching in the manual because I wasn't aware of any changes as they were not in the changelog, that I spotted at least Thanks, will take a look. Thx to you both.

Early this year, ED released an updated manual, labeled "2020" .. but for some reason they still kept the old Manual around .. both are on the /doc/ folder, the new manual is 40 MB vs 15 MB for the old one, and has 130 more pages. Here are the 4 trigger types: For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Phantom_Mark Posted December 6, 2020 Author Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) This isn't what I saw law night weirdly, as the example you have shown is exactly what I am familiar with. I will go check now , EDIT: As you can see, Switched has gone, seemingly replaced with "Front Condition????" wth does that even mean ??? 48 minutes ago, Rudel_chw said: Early this year, ED released an updated manual, labeled "2020" .. but for some reason they still kept the old Manual around .. both are on the /doc/ folder, the new manual is 40 MB vs 15 MB for the old one, and has 130 more pages. Are you able to confirm if you have these options in your editor maybe ?? In the mean time I am going back to check some missions I created a lot longer ago and see if anything changed.

The screen capture that I posted yesterday, shows the options that I get on my DCS. 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Phantom_Mark Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 Thinking out loud, wondering if I have a mod causing this problem then, I recently installed the Hercules mod.....will check that as well.

I tought you were not using Mods .. whenever I find a possible bug, the first step in debugging is to disable all my Mods to test again For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Phantom_Mark Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 I have always used mods, to plug the gaps DCS leaves I will test and post back naturally.
