Throggy Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 I mean, the mods are purchased already and verified. Why is it required to be online/connected to the internet to play something you have paid for? I'm only asking about DCS, not any other company or software. If this has been asked 1001 times before, I did not find it in any searches, so this can be 1002 times asked... Thanks for looking Dell 3.20 ghz CPU GTX 750ti 2gb GPU 24 GB ram Upgraded from a Dell 2.40 GPU with 12 GB ram. Same GPU.

(I used the abbreviation "mods" to actually mean "modules" and I think you know that since I stated "paid for".) You are also awesome for finding something in search that I did not! Way to go. Thank you again. I'm just getting back into learning more about DCS even though I have had it a couple years. Life got in the way and had to take care of a dying parent. DCS abandoned the use of copy-protection software a while ago, but in exchange you are forced to be logged-in on ED’s servers, this prevents someone else from using a copy of your disk files to play the game. Throggy Posted December 15, 2020 Author Posted December 15, 2020 I just tested and I can access my paid for modules in offline mode. Dell 3.20 ghz CPU GTX 750ti 2gb GPU 24 GB ram Upgraded from a Dell 2.40 GPU with 12 GB ram. Same GPU.
Throggy Posted December 16, 2020 Author Posted December 16, 2020 Just rechecked, and AUTHENTICATION needs internet connection. However you can log in for up to 3 days that your authentication is good for if you have no internet. Which makes offline mode pointless really, after 3 days Dell 3.20 ghz CPU GTX 750ti 2gb GPU 24 GB ram Upgraded from a Dell 2.40 GPU with 12 GB ram. Same GPU.
