Captain Orso
... um, Bleed Air Select Switch. How slowly must you -- or how fast may you -- turn the Bleed Air Select Switch at start-up for it to work properly? When you hit the wrong button on take-off System Specs. Tholozor
Can be as slow or as fast as you want. The only things that matter are that: AC power is applied to the aircraft (engine generator or ground power) The knob must rotate through the OFF position and return to NORM. Captain Orso
Thanks for the reply Tholozor! I've been turing and waiting for the Deedle-Deedle report at Off-Right and Off-Both and realized that it might be just a waste of time if you're in a hurry. AtomicP
I remember as it needing to go from Norm to Norm, so a full rotation. Seems to work for me.
Tenkom
I have never touched it. What does it do?
Tholozor
If you perform the Fire Test during startup, it closes the bleed air shutoff valves. Cycling the Bleed Air knob opens them back up.
