Patched via the normal route. Started up and load time has increased about ten fold, and upon getting to the title screen hangs within 5 secs.

192.168.1.254Tried repair and cleanup...doesn't fix a thing. DCS now completely unusable.

Did ED do any QA testing before they pushed this one out? 10.0.0.0.1

You claim this is ED's fault when you're the first (and only one so far) to complain about this issue. Do you ever put yourself in question when something's wrong on your PC?

Please hand over these two logs so we can see what's happening on your PC:

  • C:\Users\your-name\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Logs\dcs.log
  • \DCS World OpenBeta\autoupdate_log.txt

Remove all user mods, then cleanup and repair, then update again.

I had the same issue, but I forgot to remove my mods.

After removing mods I did cleanup and repair then update again. It works fine now.

@sidneyparizottoHere's your error:

2020-12-18 15:48:47.192 ERROR DCS: Failed to get authorization data. Error code is: 500
2020-12-18 15:48:47.193 INFO DCS: Loading cached auth data...
2020-12-18 15:48:47.235 ERROR NET: Auth data is for a different DCS version.

I'm wondering were this expired "auth data" comes from. Try emptying this folder: C:\Users\your-name\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS.openbeta (AppData folder exists, it's only hidden).

Also delete your C:\Users\your-name\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\authdata.bin (it gets renewed automatically).

Downgraded to 2.5.6.58125   and it is working again.

Surprisingly auto-login is still working perfectly fine even after following all the tips above which seem to try to delete the autologin stuff. Now i am logging out manually and try to update again. Will see what happens...

You mean enter you login and password manually when DCS starts? Good idea.

A friend followed BIGNEWY's advice and it worked. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Right click the Windows clock (bottom right) and select "Ajust Date and Time"
  2. Uncheck "Set Time Zone automatically"
  3. Manually select your Time Zone
  4. Try DCS

Expand

Windows Clock? Not really? :crash:

Could you please start support *any* other OS? Literally everything is better than this crap in 2020.

Edit:

works. thanks.
