obious Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Just a thought but it would make life a lot easier for people who are searching for 3D prints, CADs etc if we had separate sub-forms for models. For example, I’d love an F-18 sub-forum here so that I know 95% of what I’d be looking at that forum would be related to the Hornet (would save me a lot of time sifting though a lot pages to find or even browse what people are building relative to a module I like) Any one else agree? agrasyuk Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Just because there is a subfolder doesn't mean people will post in right section. There will need to be someone constantly cleaning things up and moving to right place. I'd say yet another subforum (because that what "folder" means) not needed. What can be useful is a sticky topic where users share any of such resources. Topic stater will need to monitor the thread and keep the first post up to date Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
Uxi Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Good idea. Defending on software, sometimes a limit how long a thread can be edited. People sometimes leave the boards. Etc. Subforum allows specific moderators, stickies, etc. Specs & Wishlist: Core i9 9900k 5.0Ghz, Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero, 64GB G.Skill Trident 3600, Asus RoG Strix 3090 OC, 2TB x Samsung Evo 970 M.2 boot. No1sonuk Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 If the topics get split, it makes it harder for people looking for oblique answers. e.g. If you split the A-10 and F18, you get division, and some techniques used for one which might be useful for another will be missed.
