Ok, so I have one set of speaker sin my 46" tv, using hdmi, and use that for Teamspeak, and I have a 5.1 speaker set I use for the simulator sounds. Two different sound setups, so I have independent control of sounds, between the chatter with TeamSpeak, and the other for the aircraft and bombs. I thought about getting a sound bar, Bluetooth, sound controls with more modern sound equipment. I do not want my house pulsing, or my eyes bleeding, I just want controls and decent sounds, I am older and don't want crazy sounds. I don't want headsets, headphones, etc, I can't take the noise in my old worn out ears. Any Suggestions? I do like surround sounds, etc. btw, the room is like 14' x14' wood floors no carpet.

I had a wired 5.1 surround sound, which I eventually trashed, and now use a 48'' soundbar. They sound fine, can go loud enough to bother the neighbors, infinitely easier to set up and less problem prone than actual surround.

On a PC it's easy enough usually to output audio to mutliple devices. I used to do my USB headphones and surround both simultaneously so I didn't have to switch them on/off for games vs movies.

I used to use optical out into a hifi amplifier and home audio speakers. Of course you can turn it up to be f-ing load. But the great thing about the hifi is you can also turn it down low and get really high quality sound from it...

Since switching to the VR with the G2, I am fairly happy with the sound from that and because of the integrated mic and VoiceAttack it makes more sense to go through the G2 for DCS at least.

Soundbars are great for apartment renters, I have the Vizio 5.1.2 system and it sounds great for my small one bedroom apartment, fits every need and it is cheap. Soundbars are also very convenient, simple to set up, and achieve the basic goal of better audio quality than the stock TV speakers. Plug it up and you’re good to go.

You can even get a soundbar under $200, whereas most of the home speaker systems are expensive.

Hi all,

I have recently purchased ViewSonic M1 projector under 300$ from this list, found it very affordable. Now, I am looking for a soundbar or some external speakers to have a great sound experience in my home theater. What you prefer guys? Should I go with the soundbar or stay with some external speakers?

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
