Hello,

For training mission 19, Unable to take-off or taxi. Wheel chock removal request request will not comply.

Radio keybind "\" default calls F8 - ground operations, F4 Remove Wheel chocks. No response or Unable to comply.

Have made attempts while engine off, Engine on, Canopy open, Canopy closed, Mission Start, and fully

started aircraft.

I really wish wheel chocks were not implemented in training scenarios, unless the intent was to never have take off or taxi ability during that mission. The voice instructions never reference wheel chocks in any of the training missions.

A possible user workaround for finishing this training mission is the DCS mission editor.

Access the Mission Editor from the main DCS startup screen, select "MISSION EDITOR"

Load the mission located ..\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\AV8BNA\Missions\Training\Harrier Caucasus TM019 FULL.MiZ

Select the Aircraft Labeled A, Blue color (near GRID GG33), on the map. Once selected it is highlighted yellow.

On the right side of the screen, Change the TYPE value of the Aircraft to "Takeoff from ground hot"

save this mission or just FLY MISSION {Ctrl + P}

The Aircraft will spawn already stated and on the runway, no wheel chocks.

You'll have to go through the cues to start the aircraft, but at least the wheel chocks are removed and you can take off and finish the NVG training.

It’s not just this mission - every one I’ve tried including the new campaign if one doesn’t order wheel chocks removed before engine startup the chief ain’t going anywhere near the aircraft. Possible because the nozzles are dangerously close to personnel? Or just a bug. Either way, I’ve had to restart so many missions because I forgot to issue the dang order and it can get really frustrating.

I've learned an easier way. All you need to do is shut down the engine. This still doesn't solve this Training mission 19 issue.

Pull your throttle all the back.

Engage the parking brake.

Then hit the throttle cutoff switch(latch).

this is a hard one to find. You may have to adjust your view to the correct angle to see it and click it. It's on the forward facing part of the throttle, Its black latch or lever and looks like it's part of the parking brake. It's technically a throttle stop so the throttle won't go lower than idle. Attached picture from Chuck's AV8B Harrier Guide.

once the engine spools down and is off, you should be able to request chocks removed. Once removed you can hit the ENG On switch and resume your mission.

Issue has been reported previously with the inability to remove wheel chocks when the engine is running. It has been sent to ED. Mission designer has been notified that an ammo and fuel truck must be present near a FARP to facilitate removal if engine is off.  Until a farp system is added into DCS from ED's side, currently a Fuel and Ammo truck is required near the player to facilitate ground crew functions, such as wheel chock removal.

Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane. If you don't, sooner or later, some guy who does use them all will kick your ass.

Marking as FIXED INTERNALLY. Mission issue should also be actively fixed. Moving to RESOLVED.

I am still experiencing this issue.

The mission used to work when the Harrier spawned without the wheel chocks in place.

• Training Mission TM19 now requires the addition of ED's invisible FARP object and support vehicles to the disused Kobuleti airfield (normally used for target practice). This will add the ground crew and radio com's required to remove the wheel chocks.

AFAIK Baltic Dragon is in the process of updating the AV-8B's Training Missions but it would be good to have this confirmed from an official source.

Tested Open Beta 2.7.4.9847

This is NOT the issue, this is a ground start at a disused airfield and there is no FARP/ground crew to remove the wheel chocks BEFORE starting the engine.
