mongrel30 Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 (edited) Good evening/morning everyone! I'm an amateur at DCS and have spent most of my time in MiG29. This weekend, I finally hopped on to my first multiplayer server and had a freaking blast at running basic interceptor missions and then crashing on the runway. I finally managed to land the bird safely and got refueled and rearmed. When I tried to start up the engines and get moving again, I could not. No response. Electricity on? Check. Fuel? Check Cockpit closed? Check. Throttle axis assigned in the Controls option? Check. The throttle in the cockpit is stuck in the down position (in attached photo) and I think that is the problem here.. I have no idea what I did and I cannot get it to move in any multiplayer server. It's just stuck. In single player missions, however, it works just fine and that's what is driving me nuts. Why isn't this working now after hours and hours of usage? Why only in multiplayer? Have any of you experienced this? Are there any fixes? I have already cleared and redownloaded my drivers and restarted my computer. Edited January 18, 2021 by mongrel30
TotenDead Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 Welp, i also catch this bug from time to time, no idea how to fix it. BUT! I'd recommend you to go to spectator after landing and pick the plane again, it's faster, then to wait for refueling. 1

Some timees I stop the engines and the throttle stays a bit forward, and the starting button won't crank the engine. Saludos. Saca111 1

I actually respawned the plane, left the server, rejoined it, and then even joined a different multiplayer server and the problem still persists. 5 hours ago, Sacarino111 said: H. Saca111 Thanks to you too Sacarino111. My physical throttle is set to neutral and the in-game throttle refuses to budge at all when I move my physical HOTAS throttle. It's really weird. I will try again later today.

Don t set it to neutral. Put it full aft (closed). The "ingame"throttle won t move until the engine is started, and for that it has to be full back. In the first time you enter the cockpit, the game doesn t "sense" your throttle position until you move it. So first try could go ok, and after that no more response until you put it full aft, start engine, and then it should go ok. Saludos. Saca111

I alt+tabbed in and out of the game, but i'm not sure if that's what did it. I'm glad that it's working though. I still cannot explain why the engines would not start after refueling and rearming, however. Very frustrating. I always have to respawn an aircraft.
The_Tau Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 Sometimes for me I have to "sync" my controls with ingame inputs. Just move throttle forwards and full back. Otherwise game thinks throttle is in middle even though my hotas is full back Tau's Youtube channel Twitch channel https://www.twitch.tv/the0tau
