Hi, I have a good computer and it is running DCS at about 60 FPS.
But that I connect VR, everything is stuck and impossible to play.

My computer:

I5 8400k

16ram DDR4

GTX-1070

my VR:

oculus quest 2

link cable

What do I need to do to run the game better?

VR is very demanding in DCS, if you are getting about 1/3 to 1/2 of the FPS you get in 2d you are doing well.

without knowing your settings or how you have configured windoes, over clocked your PC etc... its very difficult to say, but on your hardware you would need to turn the settings down significantly to get an acceptable FPS (guessing), im not really familiar with the OCULUS side of the house so its possible there are more tweaks you can do there.

I had a 1070ti when i first started and a slightly slower processor and i could get 45 fps on my samsung oddy + (just)...

Don't have unrealistic expectations. The best consumer PC on the market today can't run DCS at maximum settings in VR at the native resolution of a modern headset.

A GTX 1070 is barely able to keep up with first generation headsets (CV1 and the likes): I used to run DCS on a 1080Ti with a CV1 and could run with PD at 1.3 at very decent graphics settings as long as I didn't touch Syria or The Channel.

A Quest 2 is a very good headset with high resolution, so if you want a good experience you need to pair it with a modern high-end system.
