Can I fly my UH-1 Huey please?

I know it’s a WWII map, but please can I be able to take the Huey for a spin around the map? DCS 2.5.6 won’t let me start or create anything with the Huey with the Channel map.

Have you checked the dates?

The ME is not going to let you use a chopper if you’re suggested that the equipment should be restricted for the time period.

Actually, I just created a mission using the ME and it let me have my Huey. It started up and I can chopper about. Brill.  Just doesn’t work with instant action stuff. 
As I grew up in the area, it’s really nice to be able to have a wander around. Land on the beach and stuff. The map is really good.

Hi, 

 

We dont currently have any instant action mission for the UH-1H and the channel map. 

Currently if you wish to fly in the channel with the UH-1H you can create a mission in the editor, or use create fast mission in the main menu.

 

I am sure we will see some missions eventually.

Might I suggest the work of braddunbar, "Fixed base of Operations", which allows you to select any aircraft you like, fly around, and generate any mission to your liking on this map? This saves you the time tinkering with the ME, just start the mission, F10 - select new player aircraft, and chose which one you want.
