From ED's Facebook post today:
The four runways at North Field were lettered "A", "B", "C" and "D" from north to south and were said to resemble the deck of a busy aircraft carrier.

The North Field airbase was the first loading and launching point for the atomic bomb attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. At the end of WWII the base was placed in a standby status and officially closed in March, 1947.

That's actually done regularly IRL during exercises since the last few years. First aircraft landing there since 1947 was a C-130 in 2012.

You could use the scenery remove tool to clear the trees and make it look more operational if you really want to.

While at first I was maybe a little bit sceptical, but this map looks like it's going to be tonnes of fun with actually a lot of potential.
