I set up a kind of training mission on the Caucuses Map with some ground units at the abandoned runways north of Batumi.  I fly my A-10 up there to try and take out the Tor with my IR Mavericks.  I have TGP on the right screen and the IR Mavs on the left screen.  Tor starts tracking me while I am trying to run in on it and I notice my FPS is around 30.  I don't understand why my frame drops from 60 to 30.  I turn off my mirrors and it doesn't do much.  I go heads down in the cockpit looking at one MFCD and the frames go back to 60.  Look up through HUD and they tank again.  What could be causing this?  Specs are AMD 3900x, 2080 Super, 32 gig RAM.  I attached a shot of my settings.  It doesn't seem like I should be struggling.  Any advice?

Hm, so I have less compared to your hardware equipment (Ryzen 1600, 32GB RAM, GTX 2070), but by far not as massive FPS losses as you have. I have added my DCS settings here. What else can be is that you have to fine-tune your NVIDIA settings (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dcs+world+nvidia+settings). It felt like I spent an eternity until I found the settings that were right for me.

Oh, what helped me personally was the following youtube video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40_ayCrK--A Listening to the creator of the video is sometimes a question of patience, I sometimes got fed up with his comments. But as I said, it helped me personally. For example, I'm currently playing The Enemy Within 3 Campaign with an average frame rate of 90.

While I appreciate the video link, kotor663, I would rather troubleshoot on my own than watch more than two minutes of that jackass.  Thanks anyways.  Also, to respond to Flappie, using nVidia Vsync seems to help quite a bit.  Thanks.  Now I just need to figure out how to win a 1 on 1 against a Tor with my A-10.  Did not realize those bastards could shoot down a Maverick.
