BoNidle Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 (edited) Captain Fred Christensen's "Miss Fire/Rozzie Geth II" plus a part coded 62nd Fighter Squadron generic version for flight numbers. "Rozzie Geth" referred to Christenen's college girlfriend: Rosamund Gethro. The noseart is based upon the attached photo rather than the many incorrectly coloured illustrations and decals out there. These skins also include reskinned 108 gallon paper drop tanks, which I have made a brighter sliver more in keeping with the paper tanks appearance, rather than the default grey which is more akin to the early metal versions of this design. The stripes have been removed from the main gear covers deliberately, to replicate the appearance of this aircraft in late July 1944, after it had been repaired following battle damage to that area during a mission on the 5th July 1944 and having had parts replaced but not painted. The error regarding the tip of the pitot tube was spotted after the screenshots were taken and corrected before release....I just couldn't be bothered to do all the screenshots again. What can I say? "Bo_Nidle" by name, Bone Idle by nature.
