AIM-7 won't lock SU-24.

Yesterday I tested some options and found, that when I fire AIM-7 to SU-24 from a pilot place the missile didn't lock at all. I tried with other typed like Mig-21 and An-26 and with same conditions there was no problem. Did somebody else experienced such thing?

What were your parameters

I tried several times. The Su-24 was in ground attack and pinpoint strike configurations. The map was Caucasus. I tried both with F-14A and B,  with missiles AIM-7M and F, not at the same time, and the result was the same. I was carrying also AIM-9 and once or twice AIM-54, which when fired to the target, had no problem.

Shot parameters: your and target speed, alt, aspect, range.

 

Yep, it's a bug. AIM-7M or F against Su-24M or Su-24MR does not track.

MH connects fine. M or F against Su-25T connects fine.

Probably something to do with ECM is my guess.

I've seen the same issue firing AIM-7Ms against Tu-22Ms. No chaff was involved, missiles went dumb off the rail.
