VR Mouse and Comms Menu

I'm having an issue in the Hornet in VR in which my mouse works normally around the cockpit, but when I bring up the comms menu I can't click on it to select functions. The mouse cursor stays as the + when I'm expecting it to be a dot.

Move the mouse further out and the white dot will follow. In effect move the + off screen, it's a pain tbh

If giving commands by voice is an option for you, give VoiceAttack a try. The free demo version allows 20 commands, enough to assign the f-keys and one to open the comms menu. It takes you some minutes to configure but allows you to keep your hands on the stick and still operate the radio in thight situations.

 

In addition to the comms commands you have still have a couple of commands left, e.g. I use then to open the F-14 Jester menu and for some F-14 checklist commands.

I already have VoiceAttack and also it's Viacom plug-in. I've got so used to doing everything with Viacom that I've never needed to click the comms menu for months and I guess it's made me lazy. I agree VA is excellent and Viacom is the cherry on top. VA is also brilliant for assigning keystokes to 2 and 3 way switches not catered for in DCS options.

I have this happen all the time too. Sometimes it gets confused and you can't click the comms menu, even when the cursor eventually shows up.
