DCS f/a18c can be brokeup at FL180,Mach1.2,2aim120 and 2aim9x or similar payloads, with the control stick full aft ,G-limiter overrided.

But according to the manual(DCS FA-18C Early Access Guide EN),Command limit G is  increased by 33% when G-limiter overrided, which is not supposed to damage the aircraft since all aircraft structures have at least extra 50% of redundancy.

I dont see a bug here sorry.

Going over 563 knots and pulling 13.3 G's is not going to end well 🙂

I will check with the team.

Thanks

I have checked with the team a wing failure is to be expected at these speeds and with such high G.

thanks

sure the wing can fail at such a high G,but is it expected that the fcs allows pilot to pull 13.3G with G Limiter overrided?

Thanks

33% of 13.3 is 4.389

So was about 8.9G + 4.4G with the override.

I think it is correct.

That math is wrong though.

Override makes G limit increased by 33%. 9G with 33% increase is 11.97G. Not 13G. Besides, thats still wrong, because its counted from the current normal G limit, which can be maximally 7.5G, not 9G.

NATOPS says:

Maximum allowed g-limit increased by 33% (allows a 10g command at 7.5g Nz REF).

13G should not be possible.

13.3G was the maximum in the track, it may have been after the wing snapped, I will check the track again.

but 33% of 13.3 is 4.389 unless alexa is lying to me lol

Yes it is, but thats not what you are supposed to calculate.

X increased by 33% is 1.33*X - thats the number of interest. You are computing 33% from the end result, which is something completely unrelated.

A third of the base will be different amount than a third of the result.

the fcs page shows that the g-lim at this configuration is 6.5G,and the 133% of 6.5G is 8.6G

I cant watch the track right now, but are you sure you didnt have any damage?

The wings get torn off if they are damaged and you pull high Gs.

no damage before the breakup😂

Ok

We have checked in our dev version, flight model changes coming will improve this. In the example the wing remains on in our dev version.

However "Very abrupt stick commands can exceed the capabilities of the system and result in an overstress."

Expect changes in the next big update planned end of March.

thanks
