Hi there and thanks for your help in advance.

I created some cold start missions for me for my different modules. as im new to the mission editor i wonder if it is possible to create a "mission" in - lets say - Nevada with several aircrafts on the parking spot (Viggen, A10, Huey, etc) and i can select the aircraft i wanna go with on the start at the mission.

i tried to place several Aircrafts and tried to mark them all as player, but somehow it wont work.

Greetings

You have to set them as client not as player. With the client setting you can choose on mission start what plane you want to use or while the mission is running you can hit esc and select another plane. If you have planes in different coalitions you will be prompted with the coalition selection before the plane slots.

I've thought it too bad that you can't optionally specify that a client plane be displayed as a static object if not selected. I'm imagining a mission where you drive down the flight line in a Humvee (using Combined Arms) and then stop and select the plane you want to fly from among those in front of you. It doesn't work like that now because you can't see clients until they spawn with a human pilot in them.

Yeah, just realised it and wanted to ask if there is a way that the planes will be displayed.

I found a way which is okay for me. I place every AC i wanna have as a client and on the parking places the "parade" of my self flown airplanes as static objects. the only thing is that you can not arm static objects with rockets or other weppons. but it is ok...

If you want "static" aircraft with weapon loadouts you could place the plane as AI(before you change to player/client) instead of static, select your loadout AND set the FUEL to ZERO, with that little workaround you ensure that the AI is unable to do its start/takeoff/land routine. I don't know if the AI will start if you set internal fuel to zero but attach external fuel tanks as part of the loadout.

Haha, ok, nice workaround, i will try.

Now i have the next Problem. I placed my Viggen on Bandar Abbas, but it does not apear in the ATC Comm Menue to ask for Clearance. Every other airport is there but not this where i placed my plane to start.

I will try to find something via google.

SWAPR will automatically clone any number of clients in your missions (with the same liveries, loadouts, etc.), just place the clients as you normally would and give them a common prefix/suffix, the script will take care of spawning and removing replacements as you hop between clients.

Here's a demo (it's an old version of SWAPR, ship-based clients no longer get replacements in newer versions , but the rest should work)
