Have recently come across the OIR strike report repository here: https://www.inherentresolve.mil/Releases/Strike-Releases/
This is a useful source of information for mission makers wanting relevant source material. Note strike reports are most detailed pre-November 2017.

I hope this may be a useful source of information for some mission makers wanting real world information on coalition airstrikes in Syria.

Nice find Aarnoman

It's hard to imagine how much ordnance has been dropped there over the last few years (and this doesn't even list Russian involvement)

Anyone tried matching this info with the locations indicated in this thread:tongue:

Just be advised that this information is very general and the terms 'near' is usually not that near as you would expect 😉

What I did there is derived mainly from footage for example of DVIDS and subsequent geolocation rather than the reports from CJTF because they are too generic. Take this example: https://www.dvidshub.net/video/595888/coalition-air-strike-destroys-vbied-factory

This is mentioned both in the CJTF reports and the DVIDS page as a VBIED factory near Abu Kamal, while in fact it is in the village of Al-'Alayyat 10km north of Abu Kamal.

So what you have in my KML is something a bit more concrete to work with. In those case where footage was released and could be geolocated off course.

It's #17 in my file with the debris still visible on Google Earth of this particular strike on the 2019 snapshot.

That's a fair assessment. I would argue the main benefit is the specific target types hit moreso than the (agreeably rough) location. Thanks to the accurate dating it may be possible to then further refine the information by geolocating using your favourite satellite mapping service. There used to be an open source syria war mapping project mapping trenches/units/bomb impacts and so on, but this sadly does not seen to exist any more as I was unable to find it.
