I tried using NVG's for the first time but no luck

I had the crew chief switch me over to NVG's but I could not get them to work. We can use NVG's right? I believe the button to activate them is H if I'm not mistaken. Do I have to request NVG's before startup or I can request them at any point before taxi?

AAR on a pitch black night is no fun at all, got hooked up but man was it tough holding position.

I tried "Right Shift+H" and nothing happened.  Maybe I don't have NVG installed?  Is it a Mod?   Thanks in advance

never mind....I figured it out.  I went into the mission editor and made sure I selected the nvg option.

Yup, the helmet worn by Viper pilots can only accept either the HMD or NVGs mounted at a time. You need to choose one or the other. You can set which one is mounted in the Mission Editor, or request either to be mounted while at a full stop on the ground by using the Ground Crew radio option.
