Tusky Posted March 30, 2021 Posted March 30, 2021 (edited) Hi all! Running some tests on emergencies and I would like to know if the effect of the APU ACCUM caution is not modelled or its functionality was lost on the way. On Ground: 1) BATTERY ON 2) APU ON - After the operation of the APU switch the APU ACCUM on both panel and left DDI comes on (and that is fine, IMO); the point is that the even though the caution, the APU can be switched ON/OFF multiple times as if accumulator energy were still available 3) RIGHT ENGINE ON - The APU ACCUM caution turns OFF (and that is fine, IMO) In the air: 1) Right engine OFF 2) APU ON - Again, caution ON but the APU can be turned ON/OFF several times 3) RIGHT ENGINE ON 4) HYD ORIDE - After a few seconds, the APU ACCUM caution turns OFF (and that is fine, IMO) Was the APU ACCUM effect (limited starting of the APU) supposed to be modelled or not? Thank you! Edited March 31, 2021 by Xamik75 1

ED Team BIGNEWY Posted March 31, 2021 ED Team Posted March 31, 2021 Hi, In the air if you turn engine off its rotation doesn't stop. Engine will have autorotation and will supply gbx rotation that will provide APU accumulator volume restoration. On the ground it will fail if it is over used, you have to wait until the light goes out and wait for the APU to stop rotating, after several attempts of this it will fail. thanks 2 Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
