StevanJ Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 (edited) Ive opened the Channel, and closed the mission down, but now i cant access any other map. I can load another mission, to access that map, but once that map is up, it boots to that map everytime. Is there a new way of dealing with maps? EDIT: If i open Syria from the editor and click NEW MISSION I get the Map access menu, but not from any other map. Restarting the game now opens the 'select map' menu from 'New Mission' I guess that page has gone forever.. Edited April 14, 2021 by StevanJ
Grimes Posted April 14, 2021 Posted April 14, 2021 Post your DCS.log file. Could be blocked by a lua error somehow. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. StevanJ Posted April 15, 2021 Author Posted April 15, 2021 dcs.log So no one else has this issue? Do others get the 'new mission' and 'open mission' page?
Grimes Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 I didn't see anything obvious in your DCS.log to indicate a source of the problem. Are you running any mission editor mods? Could also try deleting the mission editor folder from your DCS install location and run a repair to see if that fixes it. If anyone else is having the issue please post. StevanJ Posted April 15, 2021 Author Posted April 15, 2021 If i delete the folder it comes back once, then disappears again Its not a big deal, i can open other maps from the editor, i just didnt know if it was a new feature or a bug.
Grimes Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Oh I see what you mean now. I think its more a feature or a minor convenience. When you exit to the main menu it doesn't unload that map, probably because the mission editor and main menu are two sides of the same coin so to speak. A by-product of this is that if you were to go into an instant action for whatever map you opened last in the editor then it'd load quicker than if it was loading a mission from another map. Think of it as this: You get a blank mission on a map you were last on with 3-4 clicks to select a new map vs always requiring 3 clicks to open any map. I noticed its now recording it as desktop and not under DCS video folder. Is that right too?
Grimes Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Not a clue for that one. 1 The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Are you in windowed mode instead of full screen?
