Diesel_Thunder Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 I don't recall anti skid working in 2.5.6, as I was always leaving skid marks on the runway when I hit the brakes after landing (both mains). That was with anti skid on or off. Now in 2.7, I landed and after the nose came down from aero braking I applied the brakes. My right main squealed/skidded for about 5 feet, and that was it. Both mains appeared to be rolling as I was braking. I don't have pedals yet so my brakes are on a button, and it's all or nothing unless I tap the button. It seems like it's working. I didn't see anything in the patch notes, but is anti skid working? 1 PC: MSI X670E, Ryzen 9 7900X, 64GB DDR5 RAM, RTX 3090 Ti, TM Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro Flight pedals, Opentrack Link to my Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/DieselThunderAviation Commander, 62nd Virtual Fighter Squadron Join the 62nd VFS today! Haven't tested the brakes yet, but it's not the first time that the F-16 dev team has been fixing little stuffs without mentioning in the patch notes. I heard anti-skid is still not fully implemented yet. My guess is that they tweaked the brakes a bit to make them work better. Edited April 16, 2021 by SCPanda
Dee-Jay Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) Wheels still blocks at low speed, but at higher speed it sounds better. Even with if not perfect, I think it will enhance brake efficiency and reduce the FLD. Ignition Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 (edited) You can brake really hard in a straight line, once you start applying rudder to compensate, the braking starts to lose efficacy. Try to avoid drifts in runways and brake as straight as possible if you apply rudder for corrections apply less brake. Edited April 16, 2021 by Ignition
=52d= Skip Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 Unlike last time I only made a single test so far with the same result - plane veers off the runway. So I´d consider this to be WIP at best. 1
