redbarm Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Hi Everyone, I think most of us have been already experienced during real flight that when an airplane enters into a cloud it starts shaking. I think it is caused by the different densities of the air and the clouds. Anyway, it would be nice to see this effect during entry into the clouds. Thank you 3
Ala12Rv-watermanpc Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 Hope this gets introduced with future weather system improvements. Take a look at my MODS here

Thinking that cloud=turbulent is a misconception which you shouldn't fall for (even though it's sometimes true). Welcome to the forums BTW! Edited April 21, 2021 by randomTOTEN
Stearmandriver Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 Depends on the clouds. You aren't feeling a variation in air density; you're feeling the updrafts and downdrafts that are found in cumulus clouds. Stratus - type clouds are typically glass smooth to fly through. Basically, if the cloud is a flat layer with smooth edges, it'll be pretty smooth inside. Clouds with sharp edges and extensive vertical development will have the bumps. 1
rhinofilms Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Agree this would be a fantastic effect but also agree that (having flown on many commercial flights through clouds) it doesn't happen every time.
