Not possible.  They locked all weapon mods.

 

 

Now that I can't modify the warheads and rockets are completely useless... what weapons do you guys use other than Vikhr?

You can't just modify CLSID anymore?

 

As for weapons, I find Vikhrs get boring.  I like to get in close with rockets.  You have to get in REAL close to use them and actually get a hit.  I use them for "knife fighting".  Funnel maneuver around a BTR, with rockets set to single launch on each pod.  Spin around him punching rockets, faster than he can spin his gun to shoot at you.  Hard as Hell, but very rewarding.  Just make sure he doesn't have any buddies near that can spam you with cannon fire.

It's very good to use when you don't have time to get a lock for the gun, and you need something more powerful than 30mm.  Just set your gun sight for manual.

So basically they are not able to make a full functioning weapon system ( like the shkval that is full of bug, and doesn't functioning as designed in the real life) but  stop the people to have fun with mods.

You might find it fun but definitely not effective.  Cannon is more effective than rockets.  I just fired 10 OFP into a group of 4 trucks at 3km range and only got 1.

BRM-1 90mm was good fun on a Su-25T (from the JF-17 module). I think those are used by N Korean Su-25. Maybe would be a good idea to ask EDs to add those to the module.

 

I see that not everything was locked by EDs for moding. Some of the weapon saved in loadouts still work fine. The S-5M, with better 3D model than the old S-5KO. Those are good fun, much more explosive damage than KO.

 

The R-27ET - I found a picture of some Su-25 with those missiles. We should have those available for Grach too. Very effective missile.

New R-73 from 2.7 become worst than R-60, not sure is it right or bugged WIP. A little OT, sorry.

Lol, I said CLOSE.  Like 10 meters.  Use them like a knife.  Of course, against trucks, I would have just flipped the gun to manual, lased to get correct pipper offset, then fired guns and strafed.  At 3km, I'm usually using vhikers.

I understood what you meant.  I was just saying a weapon is not effective if you have to get in closer than 3km.  Not against anything that fires back.

Well, against things that fire back, you've got to spin and slide.  The funnel maneuver is pretty effective against bmps and such, if they don't have too many buddies near them.

If not SAMs are around, you can stay high, and avoid tank fire.

It SAMs are are around, and the tanks / apc's are in a good position to cover each other with machine gun fire, then about the only thing left is pop up attacks from cover, and hope there's not a BTR-90 in the lot with a high skilled grenadier. 😄
